This studio birthday photoshoot is a little closer to home: the birthday girl is Nastaran, our first and most senior photographer, so the team turned the camera on one of our own to celebrate her day. We shot it in our large studio in Business Bay, building a moody, cinematic set with a deep red backdrop and dramatic directional lighting, then handed her a small birthday cake with a single candle as the story's centrepiece. As a birthday photoshoot it moves from clean, confident portraits to softer, dreamy frames with hair in motion and creative light streaks, capturing both the glamour and the quiet, candle-lit moments of a birthday. We finished with a couple of behind-the-scenes shots so you can see the lighting setup that made the look.
